I've been thinking about tattoos a lot lately or what do I want permanently etched onto my body? I have a Fall Out Boy tattoo booked at Landscape Rockshop by Matty in a few weeks and is this something that I really want for the rest of my life?
Not just because it's Fall Out Boy but music has a large influence not just on my life, but millions of others. Buzznet's own EdIsAGenius has two awesome tattoos related to FOB and I've got to admit, just a little bit jealous.
But the fandom tattoos don't stop there! Let's look at Pete Wentz.
He has a sleeve dedicated to Tim Burton's classic, A Nightmare Before Christmas. But in an interview recently, he said whilst he still loved the film, he wasn't sure if he necessarily needed a tattoo dedicated to it.
On the other hand, you have All Time Low's Jack Barakat. The Baltimore boy is adament whenever questioned about it that he is going to love it forever.
I have two fandom tattoos as well! Both relate to movies and books I have loved every since I was a lot smaller than I am today! On my left shoulder, I have Peter Pan Silohuettes which I want encorporating into a bigger tattoo - watch this space! And on the left side of my neck (seriously) I have the Deathly Hallows symbol - like Lisa Ruocco. Do I regret them? Not yet! Maybe I will with the placement in a few years but you know what, it's my body.
So what do you think?! Tattoos are so popular nowdays, are people getting them in the spur of the moment? Or do you think that there is a legitimate longeivity to fan tattoos? And if so, do you have any yourself?! Post me a comment, a picture and I'll check it out! :)
Rest easy xoxo
